Sustainable construction techniques and materials are used to build the products. You may sleep soundly knowing that our toppers are environmentally friendly and green. We are committed to creating eco-friendly latex mattresses topper without memory foam's adverse environmental impacts.
The natural latex is harvested from the rubber trees. The milk derived from the sap of the rubber tree is vulcanised into foam using natural soaps, vulcanising paste, and gelling agents. Our 100% natural latex is a truly green and environmentally friendly product and does not contain any solvents or toxic chemicals.
Dunlop is the original manufacturing process for latex foams. It was first developed way back in 1929, and the method has not changed much since then. This process produces a relatively dense foam, but it can be engineered to a variety of firmness levels. Dunlop latex is made in moulds; one side of the core is softer than the other because, during manufacturing, the latex particles tend to settle at the bottom of the mould, where the bottom side is firmer than the top. This composition is well-suited for support cores in mattresses. Dunlop is generally less expensive to manufacture, mostly because the process is far less intensive. This can often be reflected in the final price of new mattresses.
Talalay is a complex contemporary manufacturing method that involves a few additional steps as compared to the Dunlop latex process. Before baking, the latex is whipped into a froth, poured into a mould, sealed with a vacuum, and then rapidly frozen. The key distinction is the freezing stage (-30°C/-22°F), when the round cells break open so they can connect with each other. Talalay latex is up to ten times more breathable than other foams due to these interconnected round cells. The cell structure is very consistent and has one uniform feel all the way through from top to bottom, as well as a lighter, fluffier feel. Talalay latex is made with one comfort zone due to its superior elasticity, as it adapts better to the shape of the body. The process is more expensive due to its two extra steps and the limitation of the size of the moulds.
Latex is a naturally breathable and self-ventilating material that does not cause overheating. It is constructed with millions of interconnected air bubbles that allow instant air circulation and keep the mattress topper fresh and cool all night. Latex is not a heat-sensitive product and does not react to body temperature. We recommend using natural cotton bed sheets and duvets to create a pleasant microclimate in your bed. The mattress topper will promote comfort, rejuvenation, and deep, restful sleep.
Latex is not a heat-sensitive product and does not react to body temperature. Your bedlinen could cause the overheating. Some people experience health issues when sleeping on synthetic materials like polyester. Using natural cotton bed sheets and duvets will create a pleasant microclimate in your bed. Also, if the bed is too soft and you sink too deeply in, the result could be a warmer sleep as the mattress topper surrounds your body and there is a lack of ventilation.
Tip: One way to find out if the mattress is too soft or too firm is to lie on your back and try to slide your hand under your lower back. If your hand goes in too easily, the mattress is probably too firm for you. If you struggle to slide it, this means the mattress is probably too soft. If you can slide your hand in with little resistance, this is the right firmness for you.
Yes,our latex toppers can be used on all mattress types—memory foam, pocket-sprung, hybrid, and latex mattresses—as long as the mattress is in immaculate condition. However, if the mattress has a hand-tufted button finish, the topper will fill the gaps between the bumps, and this may give the impression of sagging or dipping.

Warranty claims cover
EXPRESS LIMITATIONS
(1) ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND MERCHANTABILITY ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY;
(2) TALATEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR RESULTING FROM THE USE OF ANY MATTRESS, COVER, FOUNDATION, FRAME, PILLOW, TOP-OF-BED PRODUCT (SUCH AS COMFORTERS, SHEETS, MATTRESS PROTECTORS OR BLANKETS) OR ACCESSORY. REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR AS SET FORTH HEREIN SHALL BE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY;
(3) THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE MATTRESS TOPPER AND NOT TO ANY ACCESSORIES OR OTHER PRODUCTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE MATTRESS TOPPER.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
THE WARRANTY IS VOID IF WARRANTED DEFECTS
DO NOT REMOVE THE MATTRESS TOPPER COVER IN ASSESSING THE CONDITION OF YOUR MATTRESS TOPPER FOR PURPOSES OF THIS WARRANTY. THIS ACTION MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
During normal, properly supported use, a warranted defect only exists if: (i) the materials of construction develop a visible indentation in the mattress greater than one (1.00) inch compared to the surrounding mattress topper areas after full recovery from load, or (ii) if the materials of the mattress topper crack, split, or otherwise fail during normal use and normal handling which is in accordance with Talatex’s care and use instructions for the mattress topper (available at talatexhome.com ). The indentation must be of large enough width and length to be considered a body impression, and only applies to the mattress and not to settling of the cover fiber-fill materials.
Localized firmness changes are normal and are not covered under warranty. Comfort preferences are not covered under warranty. The mattress must be always covered in use, or the warranty is void (UV light degrades cushioning latex materials).
Damage, Abuse, Neglect
It shall be reasonable to determine that the mattress has been damaged, abused, or neglected if the following are present, without limitation: tears, stains, odors, unsanitary conditions, folds, footprints, burns, cuts, or signs of jumping on the bed, rodents, insect damage or other infestation, damage from liquids or gels or blood or bodily fluids or other fluids, or damage from weather or sun exposure.
Talatex highly recommends the use of a very stretchy, breathable mattress protector because without such protection your mattress topper may not be clean enough or undamaged enough to have this warranty apply.
